Anyone else going???

I'm going in a Cerbera and my Son is driving a classic Mini - I know there was a few TVR's last year that went.

There are a few of us attending from the TVRCC NE - 4 or 5 I think? I'm masquerading in the DB9, if they'll have me.

Hope it's a good show as I missed last year

Great day today - thanks to Dave and his crew for organising. Saw some friends and made some news ones. Crowds seemed large and looked like they were happy!

Wasn't sure about the looks of the DB11...until today...lovely!

I'm not there tomorrow but if you look out for Eric and Gill the owners of the cerbera below they should be able to talk about the TVRCC NE - it's a good idea to join and speak to some owners if you're thinking about buying one?

Enjoy the show too

Shame, yea I'm torn between a Cerb or a chim. Heart says cerb, head says chim not sure I can afford a Cerb when it inevitably runs into problems.

Some snaps from the day. (Sorry for the rubbish camera skills.)

I seem to have a thing for grey cars...

I've never beena fan of the M2 styling in pictures but it looked absolutely stnning in the flesh. I know my baby M is 85% the car the M2 is for £20k less but I have so much want for one of these.

M2 was lovely the 7k styling pack did make it look rather special. Did you here the V12 Aventador , sounded like thunder stood behind it.

The styling pack made a huge difference despite being rather pricey.

The Aventador was epic. I also heard the Aston race special fire up. Did you hear the old white Mini? I don't know what it was running but it certainly didn't sound how I remember old Mini's sounding. Put just as much of a smile on my face as the Lambo biggrin

Had a wander around on Saturday as was in Newcastle anyway. Must admit I was pleased I didnt make a special trip for it! Was good to chat to a couple of TVR folk and saw a couple of peeps I know but was dissapointed in general... No trade stands for one and the cars down the street with the cordons around meant it was very crowded (especially with a buggy lol). Think I just prefer car shows where you can walk around the cars and space between them lol...

That's all well and good until its your car people are squeezing by (especially with a buggy lol)! - appreciate what you mean though and trade stands is a good shout if its allowed as part of the event?

The crowds (i was only there on the Saturday) would suggest its popular?

Car shows where you can walk around tend to be in a field somewhere remote and are attended only by persons specifically 'just' visiting the show, which is fine but I liked the city centre location and the fact it seemed to attract all types of people, including passers by.

Overall I think Dave and his team have done a great job and I hope its on again next year.

LOL... Im not having a dig by any means - I put my racecar on display at several shows and welcome people to look around it and gladly let the kids sit in it for piccies etc, and I dare say Ive got more invested in that than many show cars...

It would probably have worked better to have the cars in the middle and let people walk up either side? The crowds would suggest its popular but that has a lot to do with location aswell, which is clearly key to its success! Plus Metro Radio being there helps Im sure.

If indeed it is on next year (with trade stands) and Im not racing I may display racer myself!!

Hi Dave - didn't come across as a dig, hope my reply didn't either. I couldn't attend last year but most owners seemed to agree the barriers were an improvement but I guess you're right they restricted access from a spectator view point.

Be good to see your Griff - it looks awesome

We were there on Saturday and despite a few spots of rain enjoyed the day as much as last year. The location is superb and the very nice food and beverage on offer to exhibitors this year was much appreciated.
Re the barriers - we thought they actually helped with rigid barriers behind the cars and bunting through posts at the front. Several youngsters had their photos taken sitting in our cars so I'd say the barriers weren't restrictive, probably due to us being on hand to answer questions and allowing photo opportunities etc. Seemed to work well.
Again a huge 'well done' and many thanks to Dave and the team for putting on such a great event in the heart of the city.

thumbup was much better than last year when the car was covered in hand prints and people were brushing passed it.
