Hello, folks
I've been pointed in this direction by the Yorkshire forum. I believe that there may be a Noble owner or two kicking about in here...
I'm seriously considering buying an M12 and would be interested to hear any advice/opinions that anyone has.
How do they fair in terms of reliability and running costs, etc?
Any comments appreciated!

Hi Michael,
I have a 3R, as Bob has pointed out, you can see my car on my forum page.
As I'm sure most North East PistonHeads who came along to the Croft track day last year will agree, it's fairly (bloody) quick ,changes direction like a fly and has fantastic brakes.
The boys at HHC in Hexham are now Noble dealers and are holding their own track day in April. If you are a prospective customer, they are well worth a visit.
As for ownership. I cannot rate the car enough. Very well put together and hence reliable. Running costs are no more than any sports car. Certainly much cheaper to run than a 911 and more enjoyable to drive.
I would be happy to answer any questions and offer a ride anytime.
Cheers,
Ian.
Hello, Ian
And thank you for the informative reply.
The track day at Croft sounds like an ideal proposition. I'll look for details and make sure I attend.
The unknown for me is the reliability aspect. It wouldnt be my intention to give the car a regular hammering on the track but it may well see some fairly lengthy journeys during the summer.
I'd like to have a good, close look at one to see the build quality for myself. Whereabouts in the North East are you?

I'm on the Gateshead side of the river. As for reliability, I can can say from my experience and other owners who use their cars everyday that they are very reliable.
I have driven from Tyneside to Fort William in Scotland, Kings Lynn in Norfolk, and hammered around Donnington, Rockingham and Croft driving full 20 minute sessions x 6 and the car has not missed a beat.
If you are thinking of buying a Noble and doing track days, it is a must to have a Track Day sump(bigger and deeper) which prevents oil surge. Most new models have them fitted and some older ones too.
Cheers,
Ian.

A couple of Noble owners have very good feedback and diary of Noble ownership, worth checking out.

I use my 2002 2.5 GTO every day. Running costs? £750 for a factory service, hopefully cheaper at hexham. Rear tyres don't seem to last long, circa 8-10k and cost 170-200 a corner.
Car is fantastic to drive, gets tons of attention and I don't regret one minute getting one. Always looking for the next car tho!!
