Where to build kitcar with no garage?
Discussion
I've been considering building a kit car but I currently live in a flat and I only have an allocated car parking space which would not be suitable for a kit car build (for obvious reasons).
Has anyone got any suggestions for places in the Newcastle/Sunderland area where I could hire out a bay to build it in or lock ups etc. that would allow me to do this?
Thanks.

Worth checking your local council. Certainly round here they have garages for hire at quite reasonable rates (avg £5.87 per week here). https://www.gov.uk/rent-council-garage
Beware that very unlikely to have power or lighting and the chances of be able to use serious power tools are slim (although battery ones are pretty good these days).
Alternative is asking round (relatively) local farms outside town. Quite a few are known to hire out barns or sections of barns for a bit of cash.
What are you planning on building though? Is it something that's pretty much just bolt together or one that needs a lot of work? I wouldn't under estimate how long it'll take, I know some people who've taken 20 years (hell I'm 5 years in and sometimes it looks like I've barely started).

Unfortunately it appears Newcastle council dont do this. Having put my postcode into the link you included, it directed me to a 404 page on the Newcastle council website. I was planning on building a Robin Hood/GBS kit car and building it up from the basic package they provide using the donor parts etc. I have a lot of free time so I would be hoping to have it done within a few years depending on cash flow.
