Now that BB&T05 has jumped in and stolen the Lakes Invasion slot can we fit Lakes in somewhere else?

There are other Sundays though the calendar is getting somewhat full.

We could do Lakes instead of Keilder

We could combine Lakes with Butter Tubs.

What do you think?

I think for us in the North East, the Buttertubs idea is a good one, as in, once we're over that far west, a few more miles across the Howgills or Sedburgh way wouldn't be too much extra.
If the run was to keep to the eastern edge of the Lakes anyway, then I don't see any problem.
My 2 bob fwiw.

There is little point going to the Lakes and staying on the East, the best roads run in the North from Keswick area around Loweswater/Buttermere and then look round the West to take in Wryhope & Hardknott passes - stunning scenery up there!

As I say, there is little point trying to organise something like that, unless we keep it to the 17th July and people who don't want to go camping can go for a run out. I'm guessing there will be a fair few of them...

Why? What's so magic about 17th July? Surely the date is irrelevant to Lake Invasion. What matters is that we go together. Choosing 17th for BB&T was because there are TVR's racing that day and the general PH consensus was to go with it.

You sound hurt. Don't be, come camping with us and enjoy joining in with the PH masses. You appeared to enjoy yourself last year.

Keep it on the 17th then but I'm concerned that it'll fold again like last year.

Aye, we'd be up for sports cars'n'tents... better yet, cars'n'tents'n'fells, but I know some of you lot get vertigo going upstairs so that's optional...
