I think for us in the North East, the Buttertubs idea is a good one, as in, once we're over that far west, a few more miles across the Howgills or Sedburgh way wouldn't be too much extra.
If the run was to keep to the eastern edge of the Lakes anyway, then I don't see any problem.

There is little point going to the Lakes and staying on the East, the best roads run in the North from Keswick area around Loweswater/Buttermere and then look round the West to take in Wryhope & Hardknott passes - stunning scenery up there!
As I say, there is little point trying to organise something like that, unless we keep it to the 17th July and people who don't want to go camping can go for a run out. I'm guessing there will be a fair few of them...

You sound hurt. Don't be, come camping with us and enjoy joining in with the PH masses. You appeared to enjoy yourself last year.
