there was some talk of going back to Shaftoe's nearer Chrismas but I think that was mostly talk.

AFAIK the next "run" is pre-planned for early Feb to the Lion Inn - a repeat of last years ride out.

My car is about to get new bits fitted so will be off the road for a short while after which I'll be suffering from slippy Toyo syndrome so road runs are out for me for the next few weeks.

For this specific size there's no choice. It's a problem with the first few months while they bed in. Once that time is passed they're OK so I'm told. There have been some worrying stories of TVR's fliping end to end under braking or agressive engine braking from people who have recently fitted Toyo's. I'll just have to take it easy.

I'm thinking of heading over the Lakes sometime to take in some sunrises/sunsets and pictures of them.

Probably weekend of the 12th or 18th.

If I'm not massively busy on the 12th I may come with you, but I have to start tidying my flat and packing. I'll let you know

bugger, just checked my dates, it'll be Saturday the 11th not the Sunday 12th. I'm still trying to get rid of my Sunday Shift at work but they won't let me

"Your" shop, do you own a computery shop? Which one/where?

(ex computer technician/computing scientist student so always looking for new sources )

Nice, I'm the same, although Uni work tends to follow me home as it's a fulltime + hometime type work at the moment. Still, I like to take time off as well

There was that track day at Elvington on the 11th if I remember correctly. Not really a run out but it'll certainly stretch your baby's legs.

Thanks Richard. The Toyo offer is over but I have managed to get them for £97 fitted. That'll do.

Saturdays are out for me till after the new year at least, anyone any good at setting up carbs on here, quotes Im getting off local garages to do it are obscene, and I mean ridiculous.

What carbs have you got? I'm assuming Delorto's or similar?

There is a garage just up the road from me in Stocksfield (used to be Mini Line but had to change name after the whole BMW thing). He said he'd set up the twin SU's on mine for £25...

Similary there is a Rolling road across in Heaton who isn't too pricey by all accounts - £90 + parts.

yes Stefan twin 45 Delorto's with a turbo stuck on top of them and a variable boost to go.. there not straight forward by any stretch of the imagination, but Id rather have a go myself with a bit of coaching.

I'm not to bad with my SU's, but thats because Chris (WildfireS3) showed me around them with a ColourTune. I think it's timing you might suffer with now mind as he's heading down South.

Ask the question in the Kit-Car forum as you'll find a fair few owners are running Ford Duratech/X-Flow engines with Delorto's

Meant to mention, the guy in Stocksfield is a proper olf-school type bloke who pointed things out and answered lots of questions. Certainly knew his stuff (again with SU's), I'd give him a chance - you never know if he'll come up trumps (although I don't it'll be anything near perfect).

Oh, and show off Twin 45's with a variable boost turbo. Pah
