So Dealmaker junior is 17 at the weekend. Want to get him some lessons ASAP.

Spoke to one local guy and he is booked solid for next few weeks- and then only works 9 to 4 - and not at weekends - not exactly ideal for a student really! (But must be good if he is so heavily booked?)

So looking for recommendations for a good instructor who knows their onions - can be either in the Morpeth area or also in Centre or West End of Newcastle. We will get him to take his test wherever he gets lessons - so he learns all the local hot spots and fail point areas etc.

Anyone got someone they can recommend ??........and anyone know which is the "best" test centre at the minute??

(did mine in 85 at Kenton Bar test centre - no longer there!)

Thanks!!

Blyth is supposed to be a fairly easy test centre, mainly because the roads outside of the town centre are fairly quiet compared to somewhere like Elswick, so it can make for a pretty low stress drive. As for instructors, have you tried Hitch A Ride? Fantastic instruction and I think they are still teaching in Suzuki Swift Sports, which seems like a great car to learn in!

Do not use Ashley School of motoring whatever you do.
He took chunks of cash at a time from my stepdaughter for blocks of lessons but whenever she rang for a lesson he was busy/ill/on holiday. Then he said the 4 lessons he owed her had expired as she didn't use them in time and he wouldn't refund her.

He did it to a couple of her school friends too. Nothing short of a thief.
