Hi,

was hoping someone could help. Some idiot (kind word) decided to scrape into my car and drive off, unfortunately i didn't see it happen nor did they leave any details.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend someone to do the work in the Newcastle area? I've added a couple of photos. Hopefully they've come through correctly.

I looks as if the main scrap is quite deep.

Thanks

Darren

The Chips Away type of professional repair effected in vehicle repairs are pretty good. There are also various mobile resprayers about who could deal with this damage. Use both very successfully over the years. You could try repairing this yourself but not an easy task to make the repair invisible and unless you are experienced I would trust to the professionals in car repairs. Sorry this happened there are many careless drivers about. Good luck with whatever route you choose.

Garry Charlton at Chipsaway, he has a unit on Oak road next to DDB Detailing, round the corner from the Silverlink.

Thanks Stefan and Eldavo.

Yes, its very frustrating when someone hits you and just goes on like nothing happened. I'm hoping Karma comes back to haunt them!

I'm getting someone from Chipsaway to come and take a look.

Regards

I must agree unreported accidental damage to other peoples property is indeed bad news. Had much of it over the years personally, probably because of the types of car I used to drive which attracted jealousy I regret to say. Owned innumerable drop heads over the years and every one had the hood slashed etc when parking in town. No damage at home on the drive at all. Hence my experience with car refinishers on small repairs. Very difficult to get the mordern paints matched unless an expert does it. I wish you well.

My wife's 2 day old mini was hit by the caretaker of the school she was working at, he done similar damage to its rear bumper.I used a lad I've used in the past to repair it, he does a great job, he's a time served spray painter not someone who's just done a 2 week course. It cost about £80 I think, it was done over a year ago and it hasn't deteriorated in any way.

Thanks lofty. I'm Getting a few quotes at the moment and i'll take a look at this one too.

Yeah, it makes you think why you bother getting a nice car when people come along and do something like that. Its one thing that gets me seriously annoyed, messing on with someone elses car whether it be keying it, people chucking paint on it or denting it. Horrible horrible people!
