Just seen this on Facebook and thought it would be worth posting here for anyone interested.

National Classic Car Day is the latest charity event to be proposed by Radio 2 presenter, Chris Evans. Apparently launched on a whim during his breakfast radio show on 24 March 2014, the idea is that anyone who owns a classic car should fire it up for the commute to work, offering friends and colleagues a lift into the bargain – as long as they make a donation to the BBC Children in Need charity.

We thought it would be a good idea to support the campaign by offering those who are retired (or simply don't have a workplace) a 'destination'.

So why not bring your classic to Aston Workshop - Beamish Morgan on Friday, make a donation, have a look round and hopefully meet some like-minded people on the day.

It's very last minute we know, but we would like to think this could become an annual event, so wouldn't it be great to be at the first one?

Anyone making a donation will receive a voucher for light refreshments to be served in the Black Horse pub next door. The Black Horse also serve food all day for those wishing to make a day of it.

One last thing, this email has been sent to our subscribers, most of whom are interested in Aston Martin or Morgan cars, but this invitation is open to anyone with any classic and a bit of cash they would like to donate to a very worthy cause.

Hope to see you Friday
