There used to be a wall outside of Just Harleys (Now Triumoh) on Dinsdale Place or the wall by The Sage Gateshead is a good place where there is always some good art.

Indeed, you can just see it poking out here:

Although the warehouse next to it has been demolished, along with some of the work on its wall.

Be quick as the wall is coming down soon too.

Dinsdale Place off Warwick Street in Heaton is probably the best bet. It's quiet, nothing really goes in unless they're going to one of the offices round the back on Dinsdale Place, so you can park up and take as many photos as you please. The old ITV studio (now being made into student flats) is on City Road, it's too busy to park your car there for photographs, even at night as all the taxis going to Walker go that way, as well as many coming down from New Bridge Street to get back to the quayside.

re the Tyne Tees area, the pavement is particularly wide next to it, many couriers/works/vans etc park up on there, a bit naughty, but probably good enough to quickly grab a few snaps.
