Smart indepandant

looking for an independent to service my Smart Roadster Coupe... tried Scotswood Merc/Smart, and was very unimpressed with them on the phone

any suggestions?

This is one of the many reasons I got rid of mine. There are no real specialists in our part of the country & Smarts are not without their problems as you're probably aware (full engine rebuild at 60k seems to be the norm). Merk Solutions in Cramlington is probably about as close as you'll get, although I didn't try them myself.

yep, fully aware at 60K its a new engine, but it is an interim car whilst the Exige transforms to GT3 spec

I don't know if they have a Star Machine but a lot of things can be done without that piece of tech
