VW Specialist Newcastle?

Hi all - my 2010 VW Golf GTI is due for it's service really soon and I am really hoping to find a VERY good independent specialist who can do the service, so I don't have to deal with the horrific VW dealer on Scotswood road - where my past cars have come back with more faults than when I dropped them off.

Any suggestions, please??

Obviously it's all electronic recording these days, so they will have to be clued up...more than I am!

Swift Engineering, Redburn Ind Est in Westerhope. Good bunch of guys, genuine VW enthusiasts. Used to take my T5 Transporter there. Recommended.

I had a bad experience at prestige though.

I've also had a bad experience with Prestige German Cars, best avoided.

Swift have a very good reputation amongst VW enthusiasts.

Hope you lads who had issues with PGC got them resolved to your satisfaction , but I've got to say I've had nothing but good service with 3 different cars taken there.

Speak as you find and all that.

Swift Engineering are very knowledgeable, I used to take my Cupra R there.

I've also had a very bad experience with Prestige German Cars. Luckily my usual garage sorted out their, quote "butchery" without too much fuss. I was genuinely shocked at their handy work
