At long last, the stupid 50 mph limit past Stannington has been lifted back to 70 mph.

The best news - the speed camera's have gone aswell.

We won't be seeing the mobile partnership vans there either - they've said on the record that it's no longer a problem area as the underpass has been built so cameras aren't required any more.

Would that be you travelling south on the A1 over the Tyne on a very congested Friday late afternoon around 3.15 pm? Couldn't identify the driver with the hood up, and the car not travelling sideways in usual fashion .......

Cheers,
Ian.

PS. Girl friend said 'Oooh that's nice....what is it? pointing towards your car..
