Thinking of doing this. It would be my first track day.
Is it suitable for a beginner?
I'd say so. It's narrow and twisty but as long as you aren't driving like a pleb then you'll be fine.Is it suitable for a beginner?
And there's only 2 real overtaking opportunities so as long as you are courteous and let faster people by (check your mirrors!) then you'll be sound

I've just looked at this site and the first picture I see on it is me!!!! I saw a blue Elise.
(Then the CSL)
Hmmm, could be tempted as it's nearby but won't know until nearer the time as I need to change my front pads after Croft yesterday. This might also run into discs and a caliper refresh before the 'ring next month in which case time and £££ may play against me!

Hi Merrsh,Is it suitable for a beginner?
I run the Trackday Club, and would welcome you to come and sample a day with us, but I would suggest having at least one session of instruction with either myself or Tim, as we will be available for sessions throughout the day. It is a good venue to learn techniques associated with performance driving, and will help awareness of likely issues that people create for themselves, resulting in what could be, some costly repair bills. The principles of track driving are no different to driving on the road, but unfortunately, no-one teaches you the correct techniques, other than on a trackday! We charge £20 for a 30 minute session, and I can guarantee saving you more than that amount in tyre wear alone, so maybe we will have the pleasure of meeting on the 21st!
Peter, thanks for posting this, and look forward to seeing you on the day.

Cheers Howard
I actually did a training day with Tim last year (at Teesside) but never did any track days afterwards. I think I'd do the half hour though just as a refresher. Dependent on whether I can make it on the day I may pop down, if not it'll definitely be there the next day you have on.
Thanks.
