Bit late maybe, but this guy is second to none. Really thorough and great attention to detail. The only plumber I trust, after years of trying many. Not cheap though, but depends what you want.
His name is Helmut, no sniggering at the back. hehe

Still no joy. Need someone gas registered to sort out combined boiler. Had hot water issues since christmas!

Someone out there must know of a plumber who returns calls and turns up!

Have you tried the boiler manufacturer or even British gas? Might not be the cheapest option, but could prove quicker, nothing worse than boiler problems.

Did you ring during the day? Just after 08:00 is best and talk to the service engineers direct.
We have a service department that deals with just this sort of thing.
Being in Hexham might be a problem but we have worked in your area.

Thanks, I'll pass on your number to my fiancee.

Good luck mate! We have bother with ours but are trying to avoid a new boiler as we want to move soon.

The guy I recommended is a plumber. You need a gas engineer. Wasn't clear in your first post.

I'm still trying to find someone decent to change the AAV on our boiler but they all just want the easy jobs on the easy to work on boilers. Ours was in the house when we got it 5 years ago and it's a Ravenheat (B+Qs own), hence none of the lazy plumbers I've phoned will bother their arses to help me out and fix it. You'd think I wanted it done for free.

I just get the "I'd just want to fit a new boiler mate". Yeah, I'm sure you would!
Anyway, rant over, please post back if you find anyone decent and mildly accommodating. wink
