Yes

No

There was a dead fly in my salad that came with my steak......

I'm sure if they knew it was there they would have charged for it......wasn't impressed

Mediocre doesn't even come close

Shall not last long if that is the case, these top chefs think they can open a restaurant outside London, charge the earth probably serve average food and get away with it because of the name.

So that's 50/50 at the moment, oh oh!
Might have a little look elsewhere as a back up plan.

I haven't been myself but two friends have and both said it was pretty average (for the money).

Was going to try it myself but that put me off a bit.

Although a dead fly in the salad would definitely put me off!!

Been twice and they're pretty poor in general, Harvester pub food for restaurant prices with laughably bad steaks.

I've been to MPW a few times and always found the food & service to be spot on.

However, I would go to Café 21 and have the Cheese Souffle over a steak at MPW any day.

Agree with the about posts on Cafe 21 - similar prices and orders of magnitude better!

Bouchon in Hexham is very very good too.....

Well MPW cancelled.
Cafe 21 booked.

Good suggestion of Bouchon, been there a few times and it really is very good.

MPW is stter than a very st thing......one of the worst meals (and steaks) I have had in Newcastle.

Cafe 21 is going backwards a little as well to be honest though.....getting a little complacent perhaps.......Newcastle is crying out for another decent restaurants IMHO

Couldn't agree more!

The selection up here is terrible.

Just been to Cafe 21 this lunchtime, it was superb, but I agree completely that Newcastle needs at least another two restaurants of that standard.
