I am planning on coming up to Northumberland next Autumn for a motoring holiday. I quite like the look of the Annex at the Plough.
Has anyone taken a low sports car into the car park here? I have spoken to the management and they doubt that a low car will get in there.
A long shot really but has anyone tried it?
TIA

Not been to The Plough but there is Linden Hall, 15miles south which is sports car friendly, good food and nice accommodation.

Don't forget to have a meal at the White Swan in Alnwick: the dining room is furnished with panelling, windows and fittings taken from one of Titanic's sister ships.

Nursy took me there for my birthday last year, I completely forgot the link until we stood in reception and I spotted the sign... biggrin

Stayed at The Swan recently and the dining room is quite spectacular.
Had a few drinks in The Plough and its quite nice.
Ate across the road in a little Italian place, great food and very reasonable.

Not sure if you've had your trip yet. But checked the plough car park and definitely not suitable for a low car .

Many thanks for your help and suggestions. Have booked the Macdonald. Might see some of you folks in September. We're coming on up after Blackpool for a few days.
It seems to me that Northumberland is the place to be according to all the plugs on TV at the moment. smile
