Afternoon,

My A8 is needing some new tyres on it. Usually when I've needed tyres in the past I've usually used etyres, as I found their service of coming out to your home pretty useful. However, they don't stock the type of tyre I'm after (245/45 ZR18) and they were never the cheapest either.

It seems that the cheapest way to do it is to buy the tyres on Camskill and have them delivered. Is there anywhere in Newcastle that would fit tyres I provide? When I lived in Preston I had a bit of a job doing the same thing, once I had the tyres most garages refused to fit them saying they would only fit tyres they had supplied themselves. Also, how much is the job likely to cost?

Might be worth ringing Barrys Tyres 8 Brandling Street Gateshead to compare price with camskill, have found him the cheapest in the area, however be ready for a wait as always people queuing to get tyres done.

I recently had a couple of tyres put on the cherokee, blackcircles came up with a decent price and there are a few local options for fitting - I went to hadrian coachworks in wallsend for the fitting - they were pretty efficient.

With blackcircles the tyres get sent to the fitting place, so you dont need to mess about with deliveries and then carting the tyres somewhere

Only problem with them is they take forever to do anything, I get bored stiff looking at the crappy alloy wheels while they take an hour to fit some tyres lol.
