Wheel touch up

Unfortunately my tyre blew out last week on the A1, and it caused the outside edge of the rim to be scratched all of the way around (like a kerbing mark but the whole way around).

And as if that wasn't enough, I managed to scratch the same wheel AGAIN on a kerb this morning banghead

Now the wheels aren't perfect anyway, although they are certainly pretty decent from a distance, but one of them is now a lot worse than the others.

Is it worth trying to fix myself or is there anywhere up here that could do a quick touch up for a reasonable price. I don't want a full refurb of the wheels - can't afford (just spent money on 2 new tyres, clutch slave cylinder and belts) + too clumsy to justify it anyway, any suggestions? I know there's a place up at Westerhope.

How much should I be looking for such a touch-up repair?

2 places in westerhope, 1 is a big unit just next to the calor gas / co op funeral place, and another is inside the small trading estate next to the tyre place.

the big place wanted £650 to do all 4 of my wheels, the small unit wanted £250

I have heard very good things about the guy that works from the unit, and his work looks amazing!

I've been in touch with Tony @ Alloyfix and sent him a picture. He said my wheels are probably "Diamond Cut" so will need all four doing. As I've just spent £550 elsewhere on the car (tyres and other oily bits) I guess that can wait for now, I only really wanted one doing.

Nevertheless I'm going to pop it down and he seemed to hint that as long as I didn't expect it to be perfect he may touch it up for me.
