Hi,
Anyone recommend - or otherwise - a place to service/mot my Freelander in the North East.
Heard various horror stories of a couple of places so wonder if anyone's got some good experiences locally, or know of ones to stay clear of.

Cheers,
~Sean

I used Team Valley LandRover for my wife's FL and will do for the Disco3 that replaced it.

They are non franchised, but now part of the official dealer service network, so wont affect any LR warranty.

I would avoid the local main dealer to be honest, Dick Turpin springs to mind.....

As above. Sterling service at Team Valley Land Rover, or Durham 4x4 in Bowburn are really good as well.

+1 for the Team Valley service centre, had my RR there a few times when I had it. They were the only LR affiliated place in the NE that would honour the front diff recall that was outstanding on my car, the main dealers said it wouldn't be done FOC due to the cars age. The chaps at the service centre mentioned it needed doing and told me to bring it back without me even asking them to do the work. All done free too.

Another vote here for Team Valley. Had shocking experiences (plural) with a certain place in a conical shaped building...

I must have convinced half a dozen people to stop going to the bad place and try out Team Valley and every one of them has never looked back - often saying they wish they'd known about TV all along.

So that should put your mind at rest! smile
