Yes we do, but not as often as it used to be.

Quite a few of the members of this particular section left to set up their own forum. On top of that, quite a few on here are very busy and don't have time to arrange meets. I arranged the last one IIRC, which must have been quite a while ago as I had my old silver MX5 which I sold on due to terminal rust problems, and I had just been made redundant.

I don't mind arranging another, to take place perhaps in the next month to six weeks, if anyone is interested.

I'd hazard a guess the Teesside meets are more of a "meet up in a car park and talk bks" kind of meet?

PH meets generally involve a "leisurely" drive across stunning countryside, as well as the talking bks bit. I can't see many PHers going for meets that don't involve some driving (that doesn't involve a burnout in a car park).

Oh dear, when did PH meets turn into 'maxpower' type cruise?

hehe

Can tell you havn't been here long. Pistonheads is more of a gentlemans car owners club than Corsa's in a car park. Teesside park on a Wednesday night is not their type of crowd.

I went to a meet at Blyth. Everyone was so young I felt out of place so I went back home after 30 minutes for a cup of tea and a scone.

Age is just a number. Passion for cars is more important than a persons age (young or old).

Yep, but there is a difference that comes with age. I don't want to talk about 19 year old girls or dump valves or how fast I can get from McDonalds too the sea front at Whitley Bay, or about the lates back too front trousers.

Can you see what I'm getting at?

Yeah, but it sounds like you are describing the 'maxpower' lot (not apparent in your first post), which I was also saying the above Teesside Park meets are. Both of us agree that these type of meets are not PH meets.

Not all young people are into that scene. Met a few younger members on here who are more typical PH, than Corsa at Teesside Park.

defiantly not my cup of tea.. would rather a chat a good drive out on a weekend than 2 hours in a car park mid week. Its just a shame that the PH runs dried up, people just don't have time to organise them anymore (me included).
