Just got back. We went for the park and ride from the quarry, next to The Harvester. Ground is soft but not muddy, no queues to get there. We walked back though at the end of the day and beat most of the buses back.
Show was good, a little disjointed with some gaps between flights, but as free airshows go, it was top notch again.

I went to the Stadium of Light, got one of the last places in the car park and was on the Sea front just before 12. Thoroughly enjoyed the show and took loads of photos, most of which will probably be rubbish because i haven't shot an Airshow in 2 years
Well worth the £1 I paid for the Park & ride, although as usual there were people moaning about the organisation

Stupid question but when they say no seafront parking does it mean the fields behind Morrisons?
Yes, though I paid a cafe owner £7.50 to park in his car park nearby. Unfortunately, at the opposite end if the show to the RN stuff that I needed to be near. Why is it the crabs always bag the good spot? Morrisons were handing out dashboard notices for 1 hour parking or risk being clamped. Don't know how serious the threat is though. The passes had no times on and all seemed to be green.
Not a bad show though. Black Cats were great

Speaking of Morrisons. The police stopped anyone from buying more than 1 bottle of beer per person / transaction, which was a bit of an overkill! My girlfriend and Mother went in and tried to buy 4 beers, one for each of us there. They were only allowed 2 and had to pay for them individually.

You would have understood why this was going on if you had to deal with the drunken, violent individuals i had to yesterday. Most of which were arrested very close to morrisons.
I know it why it was done. And I wouldn't want to be faced with the idiots you deal with, but it annoys me having to be around these fools and conform to the rules set for the lowest denominator.I was sat on the front of the promenade and couldn't believe the amount of crap these people left on the beach at the end end of the day. Utter, utter idiots.
