Lakes Invasion, Now October.
Discussion
Right, here's a plan.
This event is PostPoned until October
Saturday 4th September 2004, Lakes Invasion.
* People from Newcastle area meet and travel over A686, Middlesborough area meet and travel over A66.
* Everyone meet at the RegHed center (just off Penrith) to leave around 10:30.
* a route of about 140miles, mostly on single track road - usually slower (<40mph) but the views are stunning.
* Picnic / BBQ for lunch around 1 on the way.
* Visit Ambleside, Grasmere (lovely shortbread), and stop in Keswick for tea (Fish and Chips).
* Head home in same convoys as the morning.
If enough people are interested I'll head and organise a route, stop off points etc to hand out.
Please say if you're interested below

I was thinking of a trip from York to the lakes in the autumn so could combine it with yours. I assume that the 140 miles was in the lakes only and the return trip is extra.
Were you intending to include a blast across Ulpha Fell and Hardknott/Wrynose passes ? I did the passes last year on the Bristol TVRCC visit and want to do them again, this time in the Chimaera
