Im getting old i think, I am actually considering getting a tow bar fitted to my RR evoque

Basically i am consdiering the tow bar mounted bike rack option instead of roof bars. As i am a numpty fitting the bar myself isnt really an option.

So can any of you give me the best options/companies in the North East (im located in consett) that will be able to fit me a tow bar. Preferably one that avoids a hole being cut in the bumper and has a detachable ball to maintain the cars looks.

Im also looking at value as I have just paid for a car and a new bike so i am a bit skint at this point in time!!

A company in Durham is very good, think they are called Hedleys Towbars.

I dont know much about ball designs (oo er) on bars and especially on such a new car as the Evoque not many options may exist yet.

Eric Beaumont near Stokesley is also very good but a bit further afield from your location.

Hedley's is your best option for tow bars on one of those. Always make sure you let them know what you want to use it for. They do a detachable. We work on land rovers at spannermonkeys but Hedleys can usually beat us on price for tow bars with fitting. We have a Thule tow bar rack and it works well on the discoverys but wouldn't go on a car with a spare wheel that stuck out any further if tow bar was closer, on my old Rav4 for example so worth deciding which one you want first.

No problem, their email response isn't the best (we have taken customers cars there) and we usually phone. They are usually open Saturday over the bank holiday weekend. Welcome to try our rack if you can't find somewhere local to test some out, we live in Durham

As suggested id phone up, bank holiday is actually the busiest time for towbar companies so they will probably take some time to reply via E-mail.
