Hi,

Probably going to need some work doing to my engine in the next couple of weeks, just wondering where would be recommended in the Sunderland area?

Cheers

I don't actually know yet - asked around a few forums for advice:

"My problem (on my 56 plate, 66000 miles, 1.4l) VW Fox is the engine; firstly when accelerating it seems very high pitched and almost like it's being strangled - especially when accelerating between 50-80mph. To go with this, when I slow down to almost a complete stop, the engine smokes a tad and there is a burning smell which I presume is the burning of oil. (Which is strange as oil levels seem to be fine?)

Any ideas on what my problem is? Oil and water and temperature levels seem to be okay while there are no warning lights. I'm not going to say I know anything at all about engines so really I want to get some advice before taking it to a garage as I really dont have the time to take it to one with being at work.

I did have it in the garage a few weeks ago when my engine emissions warning light came on; I couldnt hear what the mechanic aactually did to fix it while on the phone and it isnt clear on the reciept but I know there were some plugs replaced.

Really would be extremely grateful if anyone could help me."

Cheers

Take it to D & S Motors behind the stadium of light.

They are VW specialists and would highly recommend them.
