I think our jeep needs a wheel alignment - any recommendations for this in and around the Newcastle area?

Thanks for any advice!

Yup, a leftfield choice but Benfield Nissan in Sandyford.

They had £10ks worth of new Hunter equipment fitted last year for being a GTR specialist. They did my 944 last year to some non-standard settings I supplied and did a great job. Alfa Romeo and Nissan share the same facilities, I'd recommend speaking to Mike on service at Alfa and getting Ray to do the work. He won apprentice of the year and looked after my car exactly as I would've myself.

Unless things have changed significantly, Revolution used to be "all the gear and no idea" when it came to using their Hunter kit.

I've used them for about the past 5 years, on my E46 M3 first and then on my new E92 M3 over using BMW and have never been anything other then 100% happy. Also use them for my work cars.

I also use them for tyre changes on my M3 they've done all 4 tyres on it, black powder coated wheels never have a problem unlike BMW who chipped one on my wheels.

yes they sell all the Barry boy stuff but I've always had excellent professional service from them.

Revolution, and as said, wouldnt go anywhere else. Subaru was in there to get it done and Father just had his Tourareg in there last night. Spot on service and well worth the money.

£100 ish.

IIRC there's a website called alignmycar.co.uk or similar that lists local alignment places and has a discount voucher on there for them. I think revolution is one of the places on there so take a look.

I'm sure my experience of Revolution was an exception.....

Not overly impressed with the alignment they carried out on one of mine, even told me I needed new suspension and offered a quote......this a week after having new suspension fitted!

But like I say, I'm sure they do top work with everyone else.

Thanks for this tip, I popped in to north east tyres earlier in the week as I was passing, and they were able to sort the jeep out, pretty quick and efficient

Had mine done at Revolution today, plus a few other little jobs and mods.It has transformed the car, it, feels much more nimble.I've always received great service from the lads there.

Has anybody used Bodyline LTD in Dunston? It's the only place local to me on alignmycar.co.uk that has the Hunter set up.

I know Revolution in Gateshead have this, but I'm really reluctant to use them after the mixed reviews I hear.

Go to AK Automotive in Rowlands Gill. They know what they are doing.

Got to admit, I thought this too and swore not to go there, but I gave them a chance with my 964 (after a recommendation from a pal) and they transformed it. Very impressed.

Only minor problem was that the computer said 0 degrees negative on the front, which is isn't ideal on a 911. I told them to set it at 1.5 degrees neg (-1 deg, 30 minutes) which they did. Car is great now and it only cost £110 which is very good.

I mainly used them as I needed it doing quite quickly so didn't have time to trail miles away, but I'm glad I did.

I know what you're saying though, I've heard some stories but I just take places as I find'em. smile

I know Andy above has used them for his race car and they seemed good but....

I took my VW campervan here last week and they were crap. Couldn't free off the bolts on the back and it now feels more wandery than when I went in!

I won't go back here. I'll get the bolts free'd off myself and head to Revolution.

Check out Grande Tyres on Whickham bank. Greg and Deb that run it are Porsche club members and will look after you. Tell them Eldavo sent you wink

I've used Revolution a couple of times and found their alignments spot on.
