Could anyone recommend and leather seat upholsterererer(Stockton area)as my old MR2 seats look a lot past their best with a rip and lots of wear, decided to do the car as a project, was going to get rid, but changed mind so she need some TLC.
Cheers guys

If you are prepared to travel a little further north there is an excellent place in Heaton that would do it for you. They mostly re-trim classic cars but occasionally get a few items of exotica through the doors (they had a Ferrari F355 Berlinetta in there recently). They have a great reputation. They are based in the property Sounds Alarming used to work out of (they're now on New Bridge Street/Stepney Bank).

I'm thinking about getting my leather seats done soon too, does anybody have a ballpark figure for the cost for two seats?

Auto trimming quoted approx £900 for the work, is this reasonable! For two seats, no door cards etc - in plain black leather? Never had seats done before so don't know what price I should be paying.

surely for less than 900 you can buy used but mint seats, I know I could for my mk1

That's what I plan on doing, I missed a set on eBay for £250ish so I am just going to keep looking as I don't intend paying that much.

Anyone know of any leather repairers (rather than new leather) based more nearer Newcastle? My bolster needs doing!

Cheers

Zuby - I'll second the place on the Team Valley or Northumbrian Leather in Heaton are very good too.

This guy is amazing:

TVT Ltd
11 Swinhope, Washington, Tyne and Wear, NE38 9HR
Tel: 0191 4191002

He sorted a tear in the leather on my RAV and does a lot of warranty work for major manufacturers.
I paid about £150 instead of Toyotas £600 for a new seat base cover!
