Just on the off chance really, I'm looking to rent a property basically around the outskirts of Newcastle, as I work in Longbenton. There's 3 of us wanting to houseshare, me and the missus, and a good friend of mine I work with. We've got 2 older dogs, a 13 y/o collie and an 8 y/o westie, so we need somewhere pet friendly, and hopefully with a garage and 3 bedrooms, on a budget of up to abour £700pcm. Detached is a bonus, we're quiet, but I'm from the country and I'm not used to thin walls and noisy neighbours

I've been looking sort of Seghill / Cramlington / outskirts of Bedlington area, ideally I want to be within 10 miles of Longbenton.

Obviously I'm trawling estate agents etc but you never know what might be about to come on the market!

Character references / previous landlord reference etc all available, and we're all 24+ so no rabble of yoof's ;-)

Not Newcastle I know, but there's a 5 bedroomed detached with garage, over the street from me here on the outskirts of Sunderland near the A19. It's let by Coopers and is up for £695 iirc. About 12 miles from here to Newcastle, nice quiet area, pubs and Morrisons 400 yds away.

Try these areas.....

Tynemouth,
Cullercoats,
Whitley Bay,
Benton,
Forest Hall,
Backworth,
Shiremoor,
West Allotment,
Heaton,
Gosforth.

All within good distance of the area you'll be working at, and all have the Metro Stations close by, for transport to Long Benton.

I've literally just viewed a property this weekend that I'm going for, moving in April all things being equal as the landlord is living there and moving to another property then.

Garage, detached, 3 double bedrooms and 4 miles from the office, so I'll be grabbing a bike for the summer!
