Hi, wonder if any of you's can help me out with the mobile mechanic for my poorly MRK2 XR2weeping?
It looks like the electric auto choke is buggered or it's not getting any juice to it, plugged an altimeter on today, and it won't fire up. Everything else looks OK and i've just put a new battery on, just in case.

Cheers for any info.

Take the air filter top/case off and hold the choke flap open with something long then get friendly assistant to try to start engine (might need full throttle if flooded) ps dont use hand/fingers to hold open choke in case it backfires, though toasted fingernails might taste nice if salted.

As for toasty fingers ... try melted eyebrows!! WE tried to get it going yesturday by that exact method until a foot high flame shot out of the carb.... thing was my mates face was only 1/2 foot away!!! biggrin

Cheers for the reply, we're trying to find if there's any electric getting to the choke!
