Going to change a number plate over. Do I need to make an appointment at DVLA or is it just a queue. Remember last time I was there, I queued for an hour.

Remember to grab a ticket to give you a number when you enter the office

Was there last monday morning about 11.30 and walked straight to the counter. Had to fill a form in and waited 15mins to see someone again. Probably the quickest i've been in and out.

I've been there this afternoon, it was very busy but I grabbed a number as I walked through the door, filled out the relevant forms and took a seat, I was called up to one of the service desks 5-10 minutes later, and another 10 minutes later I was out of the door on my way home.

it's a bit of a lottery. Sometimes I've been in there, I've been the only person there and other times I've had a considerable wait. Five hours was the longest from memory

never been to the office in question it seems to be a bit of a lottery, depending on what is happening in the trade that day in the locality, sometimes the local offices are full of people from dealers with a handful of files othertimes it's deathly quiet ith just a handful of 'ordinary' people doing stuff for one vehicle / licence/ tacho card each.

you normally find its busier at the end of the month with people going in to sort out car tax etc.

Yes, I'd avoid 3 days before end of month and 3 days after start of month and lunch times as well!

Pick your times and you can be in and out in 10 minutes, other times you could be there for hours!
