You'll not regret it. Best way to spend a weekend. It's worth it just for the drive/convoy down. If you decide to go drop me an e-mail.

No prizes for guessing I won't be going!
The car is getting close, but it's just too much to ask to get the car ready for this weekend.
Even if it was all back together, there's the small matter of an overheating problem I need to resolve.
Apparently the cause is a big engine in a small engine bay...

The problem ain't the fans, it's airlocks.
Just takes time to bleed the bubbles out the system.

Air locks. Hmmm.. don't you have a bleed screw in the radiator? I opened the heater, removed the pressure cap and ran the car whilst I topped it up.

I've got two bleeds, one at an air trap near the bottom of the system, and one at the high point.
I 'think' the problem is sorted, but the car hasn't been driven since I fitted the bleed valves.
It could be that all will be well, but after having the car dump it's water on the road twice already, I want to be sure it'll be fine, and that means racking the miles up close to home, and not heading for Yorkshire on Sunday.
It's a shame I'm not going to get there, but I should make it to BNG.
Well, when I say should, I mean maybee.....

Yes.
Sod the Marcos, I'm getting bored of having a V8 that doesn't make a sound!
I'll finally be able to hear the new exhaust the HSV has.

Anyone else going from Durham?
If so 20 mins after the newcastle lot set off they can meet us at Durham Services as usual. We then met the teeside lot in a layby somewhere near Teeside airport.

On the Yorks thread Gemini suggested we meet them at
at Nelson Inn A59 11.45am. What time do we need to leave Durham to get there for then? Can't rememeber what time we left last time.

We could pick you up at the Durham Servics - Bowburn.

Then we could meet the rest at Morrisons car park (used to be Safeway) at the Harrogate end of the Ripon bypass.

MickC - ChrisJ and I will probably be at the Durham services bewtween 09.30 and 09.45.

Morrisons, Ripon is about 60 minutes from there. So Meet at Morrisons for 10.45 ish.

Leave at say 11, max 30 mins to the Nelson to meet Gemini for 11.30 / 11.45.

Waht does anyone think???

Anyone want to email me mobile numbers??

OK, say 9:30 at Durham Services to leave 9:45. I'll probably have a Focus RS and BMiniW in tow.

Who's going from Teeside? Bob and Dexy I think - anyone else?

Cheers
Mick

This sounds like the plan then.

Dexy, if you're coming we could travel through to Morrisons together.
