Caterham Owners
Discussion
Hi,
Looking to buy a Caterham however I have been told I may have problems fitting my feet in. I have owned Westfield's in the past and not had a problem however from a friend who has owned both the Caterham is more of a squeeze.
My question is are there any Caterham owners within the north east that would allow me to sit in their car to determine if this would be an issue as the cars I am interested in are all at least 4 hours south from me.
I don't need to drive the car just sit in the car. The models I am looking at are 1990 era therefore not the wider SV models.
Appreciate your help.
Thanks
Ross

Hi Ross
Unfortunately I have just sold my Caterham. However,if you wear driving shoes you will not have a problem. My feet are size 11 and reasonably wide fitting and I never had a issue with the pedals when wearing Puma speedcats or similar shoes. The tight pedal box becomes natural in a short space of time.
If you are over 6 3" then you may have an issue getting comfortable in a non SV car.
There are plent of Caterhams in the North East and one of the owners my pipe up soon.
There is Caterham service specialist close to Ponteland who always has cars in if you don't have any luck. I'll PM you if you need their details.
