Wylam Brewery tour?
We did it from work a few years ago. Met at the Boathouse in Wylam (the Wylam Brewery tap) and had transport organised from there. Loads of free beer on the tour and then back to the Boathouse where I think there was a buffet.
Could do but the bar is always crammed these days. Much better off going to the pub in Newburn by the river (The Big Lamp?) as it will easily seat 40 drinkers. The Boat House won't. If some good ale on tap is a must before you visit the brewery, I'm sure this pub does Wylam ale and Big Lamp Brewery stuff. The Wylam brewery itself is in Heddon On The Wall, not a huge walk from Newburn (slightly further than from Wylam but not a great deal more). That said, this is another fairly specific day out. I'd enjoy it, being a real ale drinker but I wouldn't want to take 40 colleagues with me and I expect they'd find it a fairly dull prospect for a corporate day out!
