Does anyone know of anywhere in the North East that can refurb shocks quickly.

The rear one on my chim is goosed and the car is my daily driver so being off the road for a long time is not an option...must admit i am thinking of just buying some new ones and stop being a tight git....

Or does anyone have an old knackered one i can chuck on while i send it off to Avo....

Cheers guys

hi andy - met you a few years back at a tvrcc ne meet. I've got a full set of standard springs and dampers off a 94 chim 400 - you can borrow them if it helps? In blyth though and cant get emails so you will have to post your tel number up here and i'll call you if you are interested.

Hi Pete, yeah i remember...must admit i have not been to any of the meets for ages....in fact i think i have only been once since Ruby was born and she is 4 now.

I will definitely make it to the next one though...

my number is REMOVED...!!!!

Cheers for that...if you can give me a call when you are free either over the weekend or next week i will pop up and have a chat...that means i can send off both rears and hopefully get them fixed, if not i am going to get some new ones.

Got a pair you can have which I removed from my old chim. One is leaking badly but other was ok, keep meaning to bin them but never got round to it.

Hi Pete,

Spoke to them today and they said they dont think they can do anything with them.

So i have decided to either replace with new ones...£90 each or get some new bilsteins...quite like the way the car feels with the standard shocks on.

Hopefully i will be getting the new ones this week so i will take yours off at the weekend and bring them back up.

Cheers
Andy
