a noise better than my chim

Just heard something that sounded marginally better than the TVR....a Lancaster Bomber just flew really low over my house in Birtley heading towards Newcastle and what looked like a Spitfire higher up....!!!

Now if i could get the chim to sound like that i would be happy...how do you fit a merlin in a chim???

add a 6 foot extension to the front of the chassis - will look odd from the side but most people will only ever see front then rear

Saw the latter fly over CLS, didn't get a good look but it certainly sounded like a Spit

surprised you missed the lancaster...it flew from CLS direction literally along the route of durham rd towards newcastle...it was very low and bloody loud...made the windows shake.

Probably not politically correct but i would love to have heard the noise they made when they carried out the 1000 bomber raids...if one makes that much noise imagine another 999 ...(apologies to any anti war types and our foreign friends...!!!)

Would happily have the Battle of Britain memorial flight aircraft fly around my house all day. The sound of a Merlin engine beats my TVR into 2nd place....awesome!!!
