As the title says its time for a new clutch on the Porsche and i was wondering if anyone has any thoughts or recommendations about Cartech Prestige. If the response is favourable it might be worth a trip down from Aberdeen as the prices they quote are very reasonable, thanks in advance for any feedback.

Evening,
they must be quoting an amazing price to warrant you travelling down from Scotland?!
I noticed the company you mention when they set up but, I haven't used them. The main reason being that they aren't Porsche specific are they?
After owning a car that had been rebuilt by a so called Porsche/Bmw specialist a few years ago, I only deal with Marque specific outfits now. There's just so much to know when it comes to 911's!
Anyway, that's just me and I'm not knocking Cartech or whatever they're called. smile
If you don't mind travelling down, give Jamie Nelson a ring at Nelson Porsche. I plug him so often I sound like his PR man! but he grew up around Porsches and is a sound lad. His prices undercut anyone I've used/asked, on every job he's done for me (not that I waste time shopping around anymore, he's the best) . There's no tiled floor or flashy website but what he doesn't know about Porsches, isn't worth knowing.
By the time you knock your petrol and time off though, surely someone can do it nearer home. I fail to see how someone can be so much cheaper than everyone in Scotland and I'd probably be questioning why...
If I were you I'd ring Stuart Patterson at SP autobahn. He's up in Scotland and although I've not yet been to see him, he has given me lots of help and info on my 964 engine and I will be up to let him work his magic on my car at some point. He's widely regarded as the ONLY man in the UK to speak to when it comes to tuning 930s and 964 Turbos, but he caters for everything and is also the Scottish branch of Peter Morgan Inspections, so to speak. His prices are far from extortionate though so I'd definately give him a call.
I'm writing this on my phone so don't have the numbers to hand for the people I've mentioned but, a quick google should bring them up.
Good luck, what model do you own, out of interest?
Mark.

Thanks for that Mark i will certainly look these guys up and give them a shout. The car in question is a 997tt and with Cartech quoting £800+vat they easily undercut (and by a significant margin)anyone up here.

Oh well, you can't argue with that.
Hopefully someone will come on to say they've used them and were happy.

I've never heard or read any horror stories, so that's a start. smile
Good luck getting sorted and nice car by the way.
