Reliabilty of London Cabs

Hello.
I recently began driving a black London Cab on a 60 plate for Phoenix taxis in Blyth Northumberland.

I have already experienced a leaking radiator and faulty temperature gauge, causing the engine to overheat and result in a suspected damaged big ends.

Anyone out there had a similar problem.

I know it's not a sports car, but they're supposed to be work horses ?

Not certain but I am sure the modern London cabs use the Ford Transit diesel engine if that is any help.
