Anyone here go surfing?

Just started doing it at Tynemouth - all I've been wondering is why I didn't start doing it sooner! Fantastic fun!

Thinking maybe a North East PH surf meetbiggrin (with obligatory beer afterwards)

No, but I walk the beach from Tynemouth towards Cullercoats and back most evenings with the other half... There seems to be more and more people in the sea each evening at the mo.

Not sure how easy it will be to look out for you though!

Have you been having lessons or just jumped in. Roker pier is a good place to surf and the back of the firing ranges at Whitburn. Roker pier fantastic when the break is right and waves can be huge against the pier wall.
