New member in North London

Hello,

Not long been the owner of a Chimaera doesn't seem to be many of us in London. I am in Highbury if anyone fancies forming a convoy in the upcoming good weather.

Definitely, but not for a while . On the other hand I can be an enthusiastic passenger and excellent navigator to some of the meets.

This weekend is out as its my birthday so don't think I will be legal to drive until next Tuesday.

Do you use the TVR Centre in Finchley for servicing and maintenance? I went for a couple of test drives witht those guys and they seemed pretty helpful. Obviously trying to get me to part with a serious amount of cash had something to do with it as well.

Nevin is a Chim owner is north London. He's currently in Moscow but should be back in the next few months.

I've found them to be excellent, if a little pricey. Once I'm out of warrantee I may be tempted away due to the cost, but they are always a good source of info and help.

That'll be Tower View. They also have a very good reputation (and are cheaper I believe). On the other hand they are independent, so you can't get your service book stamped (althought looking at the website, I may be wrong about this).

Not too worried about the service book. Think I will use TVR power in Cov for that. I work in in Brum 2 days a week and a lot of my friends are up in Leicester. Will give tower view a look though as I need the chassis cleaning and waxoyled and have a few other niggles. I want sorting.

There's the Ace Cafe/Middlesex Region (first Friday of the month). I frequent the Mid-Essex (second Sunday) and South-East London and North-West Kent (first Sunday) meets.

There are others around (often mid-week). See the TVRCC Website for details/contact numbers.

The RO's for the above regions are all on here.

Hi Billybig

Only just found this thread. I'm down the road in Islington - between Islington and Old Street. I'll keep an eye out for you!

I take my Chim to David Batty for servicing - he's miles away (Guildford), but is considerably cheaper than any TVR dealer. In fact she's booked in for a 12,000 mile service on the 15th June.

Sorry, just found this one again - rarely check the London threads. Sorry Billybig, wouldn't have been able to do this weekend anyway.
