Hi all,

Does anyone know (is is able to easily find out) what the vehicle height limit is on the underground car park on Great College Street, near to the Houses of Parliament? (I think the car park's official name is "Abingdon Street"

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&source=s_q&a...

I have an event at the House of Lords, and will need somewhere to park the vehicle that is carting all my stuff down - this appears to be the closest car park (unless anyone can suggest an alternative?) and I'll need to hire a van (or vans!) that will fit!

Hire a car based van, no car parks will take a transit sized van. You're only option with a larger van is to put it on a pay and display, usually limited to four hours.

Just found this info:

* Nearest Tube: The nearest tube stations to Abingdon Car Park is Westminster or St James Park.
* Parking Spaces: Abingdon Car Park has 200 spaces.
* Maximum Car Size: The car park has a height restriction of 7'0 (2.13m).

No problem - in the end I was given a parking space for a Sprinter in the courtyard at the House of Lords (No idea how I managed to blag that!) - so not only was the unload into the venue easy (20 yard walk!) we saved a fortune on parking!
