Found St Catherin'e Docks at the weekend - gorgeous, but I've been past there so many times and had no idea it was there.

What other hidden gems have epople found in London?

Called Colin by any chance?

Back on topic ... I rather like The Black Heart in Camden. Despite it's location (a hundred yards from the tube station) it's quite discreet with few tourists, good beer and reasonable prices.

That and Sam Smiths pubs. They are phenomenally good value as London goes. Trying to remember the name of the one I stumbled out of upon the other week.

Hardly a hidden gem for a lot of people, but I went to Borough Market for the first time on Sat

fantastic, I had a lovely Duck and Rocket sandwich, and was drooling over everything else (not literally, thankfully)

The cat's called Tom Payne. If you look closely you can see his name written into the cement out the front of the pub. On a related, but unrelated, note; you can see me standing over the road from the Seven Stars on Google Streetview. Caught out having a cheeky lunchtime pint(s) a few years ago.

My hidden gem: The Point in Greenwich. A tiny park that hardly anyone knows about. It's greatest feature being incredible views over central London.

Where about inm Camden are you?

And Chris, where is the Black Heart in Camden? I've heard of the Black Cap but that's another type of pub altogether.

Just had my first visit to Garlic and SHots last night. Great fun, especially if you can get the alcove!

From the tube station, head towards the World's End, but then skirt round the right hand side of it down an alley way with a cash point. It's down the next (even smaller) alley way on the right. There's no sign as such, just a black heart hanging off the wall. Unless there are people smoking outside you could practically walk straight past.

Good for music, atmosphere and cheap (homemade) pizzas. Beer selection is good, but prices are typical London fayre.

My favourite place has got to be Sloane Square - a great place to watch cars and while the Sunday afternoon away people-watching.

Ah it used to be called the Camden Tupp (or something similar) the venue seems to be the kiss of death as nothing ever lasts more than a couple of years at that location.
