On Thursday I have a job interview in Wimbledon. I live in Northamptonshire so will either be catching the train or driving there. However having never driven to Wimbledon before I have no idea about the parking situation there? Can anyone please advise me?

Don't worry. Wimbledon does have car parks, like most other centres of population.

HTH.

A modicum of useful info - like whereabouts and for how long you might need to park might make a more sensible response viable. biggrin

Assuming you're in Wimbledon town rather than village, I'd park in the multi-story off Hartfield Crescent (entrance to Hartfield Crescent is from Hartfield Road). It's one of those take a ticket on entry, pay on exit jobs, which is handy if you don't want to worry about how long you'll be!

Might be more relaxing to take the train if you don't know your way around, mind you.

I realise there are car parks, the interview is near the train station and I guess I would need to be parked for 3-4 hours. What I guess I really mean is if I arrive there in the middle of the day am I likely to find a parking space for that amount of time easily.

http://en.parkopedia.co.uk/parking/wimbledon/ - Parking options as per parkopedia.

Northampton to Wimbledon is also a pretty ugly road journey. M1, A406, A40, Shepherds Bush Road, Hammersmith Bridge, (and Rocks Lane near Barnes Common is being dug up and is one way with terrible diversions) Roehampton Vale etc.

Personally I'd let the train take the strain.

I would recommed the train too - roadworks and traffic will stress you out unneccessarily, especially if you have an interview.

The Centre Court car park, accessed off Queens Rd always has spaces during the day. Again it is one of the pay as you leave carparks.
