Thanks for your opinions - I think it's a pretty bold statement myself; would look great on a Roller or Lambo. ... but each to his/her own!

Seriously, if I saw that plate, "His London" would not spring to mind at all...

Quite true, but only appealing to one person out there somewhere doesn't make it that valuable or likely to sell quickly! smile

I'm in no hurry to sell but your point is taken. However, I think that particularly amongst 'text-age' Londoners, 'LDN' would have widespread recognition. Perhaps I am wrong about this ...

Someone with a Roller or Lambo would have enough money to buy a decent plate.

What is "His London" actually meant to mean anyway??

A joking claim to the town perhaps? "His London" lifestyle? It's open to interpretation. Certain figures become synonymous with the town in which they live e.g. Donald Trump and NYC. Perhaps Boris Johnson would enjoy it?! it also follows on from other 'his' themed plates e.g. H15 BMW, H15 CAB etc.

I think it doesn't bode well if you have to explain its meaning.
I am guessing this will have greater appeal to someone with the initials LDN and therefore it only puts the value at a few hundred quid max.

Some people do understand its meaning without need for explanation - such fellows will be my target market i feel smile It's not particularly complicated, is it?! Not as though it's encrypted or laterally inverted!! But I do take your point, plates requiring zero thinking tend to be easier to shift!
