My current pair are falling apart and i look a bit trampish.

I'm in desperate need of a pair of thin-soled black leather shoes, suitable for walking, driving and dancing (hence the thin light soles).

There's a Jones the Bootmaker on Old Broad Street between Liverpool Street and London Wall (well, there was when I worked in that area approx. 18 months ago)

Ta-da! Looks like they've got a sale on too - so long as the chap in the light-blue shirt hasn't nabbed everything before you get there!

What the fk are you on about? He asked for recommendations of a shoe shop. How can he "just go to the fking shop" if he doesn't know what shops there are? You're weird.

Now i am not from liverpool and google is not my friend but i bet i could find whilst sitting on my fat lazy arse any number of shops that will suit his needs.
However, rather than google or go walk down the road to have a look some prefer to start a thread.
I don't get it confused

All part of the rich tapestry of life. Besides, he asked for recommendations, not a list of local shops.

PS You'd struggle to find any shops that would suit his needs if you're looking in Liverpool. Also, London is quite big with lots of shops. "Walk down the road" is not that practical an idea. Finally, his current shoes are fked. Probably best he doesn't do a lot of walking in this weather. smile

Yes, i had a peek around and there are some nice shoes on 'sale'. One of those shop i have walked past a zillion times but not bothered to look inside.
However, i couldn't find a roundy-ended pair - they are all pointy ones, and quite heavy as well. Btw I did a Google and ended up back on this thread!

The view is a lot better in the window of the shop directly opposite

Get yourself to the Grenson shop for a proper pair of british hand made shoes. It's outside Liverpool St. (McDonalds exit) turn left, its about 200 yards on your left. I know my shoes, and this is where you want to go. Not cheap but last forever.

Good luck
