London Weekend - Stef's / Soho?

I'm off to London tomorrow for a few nights with the girlfriend for her birthday. I've already got Billy Elliot booked for friday night. Saturday night ive booked a table at Stef's Italian restaurant just off Oxford street, reviews look great.
Table is booked for 7:30pm has anybody ever been before? Also looking at taking her to a few bars after but dont really want to be paying £10+ for a drink somewhere near Soho and Picadilly. We are both 22 if that makes any difference on places to go. Is it best to stick close to Soho square, or head towards Covent Garden? We will both be dressed quite smart anyway, short trousers etc...
