Got to be in Hampstead High Street at 6.30pm.....looking on street view, where on earth can i park round there? Anyone know of an NCP close (or even a sensible walk/taxi away?????) Anyone live there are want to rent me their drive!

You can park on single yellows after 6.30 and many restrictions are lifted, I would have no problem in parking in a sidestreet at that time I would hope. I suggest going down Fitzjohn's Avenue towards Swiss Cottage a little and peel off. A 5 min walk at most.

Good call....down fitz-thingy, into arkwright...looks like theres even some pay and displays.

I'd rather drive round for 30 mins looking than faff about with a train/tube

whats the penalty for parking in the PERMIT ONLY bays a few hours before you are allowed to? Fine/clamp?

Round my way (North London) its a £60 fixed penalty notice.

the residents bays may be suspended after 6.30pm - can't remember

in any case at that time of the evening there should be a reasonable amount of parking available towards the lower end of the high street

Google Street view has good shots of the signs usually.

found a pay and display on street view...parked at 5.30pm...cost me £1 till 6pm then free...sorted! (not sure why you'd use a train...people keep telling me to train/tube into london but whats a train from reading cost???? The other day i parked in westminster for free after 7pm...just off the Strand. 1hr back to Reading, easy)
