Help! Good Audi/auto transmission indy in London?!
Discussion
Help!
My sister has a 2001 A6 Allroad 2.7T with around 80k on the clock, and something has gone apparently badly wrong with the tiptronic transmission - basically her husband was doing a three-point turn when the transmission failed and he got stuck blocking the road (nice!).
AA towed them to Victoria Audi (nearest dealership) a week ago but so far VA haven't looked it (too busy apparently). There's also a concern that VA won't bother trying to fix it but will just insist on fitting a new gearbox which will cost way more than the maximum claim amount under their warranty (£1000) and frankly a goodly chunk of what the entire car is worth.
So, does anyone have any bright suggestions of a good Audi specialist or automatic transmission specialist in London (preferably central/south London but beggars can't be choosers) who might be able to deal with this?
All help gratefully received!

Cheers, in fact we've found a place in Dagenham that the warranty company were happy with: http://www.automatictransmissionsessex.co.uk/index... who quoted competitively to recover the car and fix it, so we shall see what happens. They collected it on Monday so should be ready by end of week.
