Weekend street parking - Southampton Row area.

Taking the kids into London for the weekend and whereas we would usually take the train, I need to have the car this weekend.
Does anyone know of any street parking that is free from ^ ish on friday and then all through thew weekend. If need by, I would be happy to feed the meter through until Saturday lunchtime, from when it will hopefully become free.
Areas around Russel Sq, Great Ormand Street, Sardinia St and Lincolns Inn Fields, would be ideal.

the city of london is free from 1.30 on saturday. check the website for the boundary but iirc it is at chancery lane which is not far from lincolns inns field.
i sometimes park on shoe lane and get a bus into the west end from high holborn or fleet street because its nice and wide with not much traffic going past.
