i live in walton, like any town it has its good and not so good areas, but in general i like it, moved there 7 years ago and have made loads of friends who are dotted all over town, do you need to be near to the station there is quite lot of areas in walton which are nice and within walking distance of both walton and hersham station.
PM me if you need any more help, long way to come only to find a trainline at the end of the garden (as i did on one viewing)

Grew up there, great place, possibly a bit too busy with the new centre though. Just avoid the bad bit behind the GP surgery, rest is ok, even Hersham has improved lately, it has a Waitrose!

The heart? Busy? Never!!!

Thought there must be a lot more people in the area there was a hell of a lot of flats in that development.

Its not a bad place, has its nicer bits (forget the name of that private road opposite the heart) but also has its st parts up the other end. but all in all I think its pleasant enough with a decent trainline.

The Ashley Park estate? Very nice, complete with 'The Mall' style red road surface.

Like most of the South East, Walton has loads of really nice 'posh' areas, as well as some rather scummy estates scattered about. It is definitely a main commuter hot spot. You only need to get on the train from Waterloo in peak hour to notice this. nearly half the train get off at Walton!

I moved out of Walton 4 years ago as I felt the need to get closer to the city, as I got fed up with having to use Taxi's or drive anywhere after train hours.

Where did the original message go? Was the move completed and does Walton have it's newest resident?
