Spare time in London this Saturday AM - What to do/see?
Discussion
We're heading down to London by train this friday evening to see Muse at the O2. We'll be staying overnight near the O2 and need to be back in Staffordshire for early afternoon on the Saturday.
So that gives us a few hours in London to see some sights. I did all of the touristy spots with my grandparents when I was a child but my wife has never been.
We'll be going via train to Euston then taking the tube to the O2. Saturday's route is a little more flexible.
I was thinking of showing her Tower Bridge, HMS Belfats, Tower of London for starters as that seems to be en-route.
Any ideas?

Where are you staying Friday night?
A morning in London doesn't give you much time to visit many places, so you're probably best focussing on one geographical area.
If you're staying SE London way, Greenwich is worth a visit. And if you're heading that way, you should see if you can catch a river boat one way or the other ( http://www.tfl.gov.uk/assets/downloads/river-tt-em... ). It's an excellent way to see the capital.
If you're staying more centrally, you could spend a few hours taking in Westminster (seeing the Houses of Parliament, White Hall, Downing St etc and you're very close to the London Eye and not too far from Buckingham Palace).
And if you just want a whistle-stop sight-seeing tour, then an open top bus tour or "duck" ride (http://www.londonducktours.co.uk/) might be your best bet.
Or there's shops, art galleries, museums etc etc etc. Really depends what you're into, where you're staying and how long you've got before you head back to Euston.

We're staying at the Holiday Inn express right next to the O2.A morning in London doesn't give you much time to visit many places, so you're probably best focussing on one geographical area.

Need to be back in Staffs just after lunch if possible so we have from breakfast to 12 noon to spend in London - not very much time at all.
get a thamesclipper river roamer ticket. there's a pier at the O2, and from there you can get right up to embankment. stops include london bridge, tower, canary wharf amongst others.
scrap that, didn't see how little time you had.
get the tube up to london bridge and go to borough market. have a bit of a stroll to walk off the calories afterwards.

We've just decided to take the clipper from the London Eye to the O2 on the Friday evening. They put on boats specially for those attending events at the O2.scrap that, didn't see how little time you had.

My brother and I got the slow one, 45 mins, but as there's a bar, we weren't complaining. And it's a bit more eventful with the stops and starts!
Would recommend this journey to anyone making their way to the O2. In fact, I've told half my friend's already.
