New Years Eve Parties ?
Discussion

Went to Trafalgar Square last year .
I have to ask.Having lived in London all of my life, I could not think of a worse place to be in New Years Eve.
What is the attraction of being jammed in a mob of strangers waiting for a bell to ring?
I'm really not criticising what you did. Each to his own and all of that. But, for the life of me, it makes no sense.
Was it fun?

We did NYE at Traffalgar Square once. Horrible and never again.
These days we generally hide at home, watch crap TV and eat and drink till the bells toll (but sometimes we're asleep by then!).
Two previous memorable NYEs were Dinner on the Orient Express while being pulled along by the Flying Scotsman and two years ago on horseback riding through the breaking waves of the Indian Ocean (in South Africa).
This year it will be option A. Falling asleep in front of the telly.
